Liam Desroy

Liam Desroy

Writer · Director · Producer

Yorkshire-born and based, Liam's connections to the area instigated 1066's hunger for regional storytelling. From a background in anthropological essay writing, his stories focus on authentic characters, amalgamating realism with genre-based narrative structures. He spent a decade working in content production for the music industry, learning how to get the most from incredibly limited budgets. His debut feature, Dead In October, which was shot for just 10k, went on to open the Manchester International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award.
